-implemented with all Deer Creek 7th and 8th Graders

Future Goals:

Our program will continue to work toward the goals set by previous SHWP directors and new goals such as:

  • Applying for and securing additional grant funding for prevention/intervention services
  • Collaborate with neighboring districts and state initiatives to increase effectiveness and impact
  • Increase available teacher/staff training for prevention and intervention
  • Work with Student Services and Administrators to help develop and provide counseling services for a Deer Creek Alternative Education Program
  • Find ways to work with high school student leadership to promote wellness and awareness (bullying and self-harm prevention, stress management)
