January is Board Appreciation Month -- Thank you to our board members for their great service to our district!

Superintendent's Report*

Dr. Jason Perez updated the board on the following achievements in Deer Creek over the last month: 

• We are proud to report that Deer Creek was again granted accreditation with no deficiencies from the Oklahoma State Department of Education this year! Thank you to our principals and Assistant Superintendent Lenis DeRieux for all the time and energy it takes to complete this process each year. 
• Congratulations to our Deer Creek Middle School Academic Team for their first-place win in their recent tournament. We are proud of all our students who participate in our academic teams at Deer Creek 4th & 5th Grade Center, Deer Creek Intermediate and Deer Creek Middle School!
• On Saturday, senior Grady Adamson played in the Navy All-American Bowl, which was televised on NBC. He did a great job representing Deer Creek out there! Additionally, Grady, along with Evan Odom and Brady Brewer were named to the Oklahoman Sports Big All-City Team.
• The Deer Creek High School Master Plan Community Forum is rescheduled to Jan. 16 at 6 p.m. We hope our community members will attend and provide their thoughts and dreams for the future of our high school campus.

The board approved the hiring of all personnel listed on the Personnel Schedule.

5. Approved a quote of $89,438.00 from Howard Technology Solutions for Newline boards for Knight Ridge Elementary to be paid for out of Bond Funds
6. Approved a quote of $75,348.00 from Bob Howard Chevrolet for the purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Suburban, to be paid out of Bond Funds
7. Approved a quote of $27,660.17 from Deere and Company for the purchase of a John Deere 5060E Open Operator Station Utility Tractor, to be paid out of Bond Funds
8. Convened in executive session to discuss the ongoing evaluation of and the contractual terms of the Superintendent
