Superintendent's Report*
Assistant Superintendent Kristy VanDorn filled in for Dr. Perez for this meeting, while he is out on vacation. She gave the following updates:

Our 26 principals and assistant principals gathered to spend the day learning from each other as a Professional Learning Community earlier in June. This day was filled with planning for next school year, reflection on the successes from 24-25, and goal-setting for 25-26. It also provided dedicated time to ensure we are aligned and operating as one district with the same strong commitments from school to school.

Our students did a great job representing Deer Creek at the Special Olympics in May. Each year, we are blown away by the talent and support of our Special Olympians. Great job, Antlers!

We are officially welcoming our new hires for next school year during our summer onboarding days. We meet with each employee individually to ensure they are set up for success in Deer Creek. Be sure to show them some love when you see us shout them out on Facebook!

We had an impressive showing of spring sports athletic awards, which capped off a great year of performances by our student-athletes. We have so much talent in the Creek!
Hiring Updates
The board approved the hiring of all personnel listed on the Personnel Schedule.
Board Actions*
- Approved a name for the new middle school: Central Creek Middle School
- Approved updates to board policy JFCK (Wireless Telecommunication Electronic Devices & Cell Phone Use), implementing a bell-to-bell personal electronic device ban during the school day, as is required by state law
- Information regarding this policy will be sent district-wide soon
- Approved a new board policy F-43 (Employee Wireless Telecommunication Electronic Devices & Cell Phone Use)
- Approved a resolution to participate in the Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Grants Program
- Approved a quote of $15,120.00 from Triple J Construction for geo-thermal repairs at the PAAC, to be paid out of Building Funds
- Approved a quote from O'Connor's Lawn & Garden for a Ferris 72" Mower for $17,405.97, to be paid out of Bond Funds
- Approved a quote from AVI-SPL LLC for $15,598.39 for a new audio system at Deer Creek Elementary School, to be paid out of Activity Funds
- Approved a quote from Manhasset for stand/racks for the Deer Creek Intermediate School band/orchestra room for $15,407.77, to be paid out of Bond Funds
- Approved the combined quotes from KI for cafeteria furniture for Prairie Vale Elementary and Deer Creek Elementary for $89,090.00, to be paid out of Bond Funds
New and updated policies will be available on the Deer Creek website within five to seven business days.
