Pre-K
Deer Creek offers a free Pre-Kindergarten 4–Year-Old program on a space available basis. Enrollment for our Pre-K program is open across the district. At the completion of the Pre-Kindergarten year, students attending Deer Creek Pre-Kindergarten should expect to attend their neighborhood school for Kindergarten.
2026-2027 Pre-K Registration
Registration for the Pre-K Lottery for 26-27 was open January 12 - 23, 2026. Families interested in being placed on the waitlist can register when enrollment for all students opens in March.

Pre-K Attendance Requirements
Pre-K classes are designed to be enriching learning environments that afford students the opportunity to master standards of learning and provide foundational skills for Kindergarten and beyond. Consistent attendance is important to the success of the students in the program.
Students enrolling in the Deer Creek Pre-K program will comply with the same attendance regulations as students in grades K-12 with the additional caveat of excessive absences (10+ total days in a semester and/or 10 consecutive absences at anytime) will result in immediate dismissal from the program.
Parents wishing to re-enroll their children after 10 or more absences will need to complete a new Pre-K OLR application and will go to the bottom of the waiting list.
Pre-K Expectations
- If behavior does not indicate readiness for Pre-K or a structured learning environment, the school site has the option to remove the child from the program.
- Students must be fully potty-trained and be able to take care of their bathroom needs independently.
- Students must be dropped off and picked up on time. Practicing morning routines at home prior to starting Pre-K will help to ensure smooth transitions from home to school.
- Although we want as many of our students to successfully complete Pre-K as possible, it is non-compulsory. Meaning, if families and/or students are not responding to school interventions with behavior expectations, pick-up or drop-off times, and/or attendance regulations, the child will be removed from the program.
