The UCO Outstanding Mentor Teacher Award was presented to Riley Turner. His student teacher candidate Erin Haught said, “Mr. Turner has been the most supportive, realistic, and inspiring mentor teacher I could have asked for. He is kind, informative, and extremely flexible in the student-teacher process. I have learned so much from him that I will take with me for the rest of my career. He treats me like an equal and makes me feel more than welcome as a collaborator in his classroom. I think Mr. Turner deserves a thousand awards for his work with me AND his work with his students.”
